The Client

Madico has been a leader in high-quality manufacturing for over 120 years. Based in Tampa Bay, Florida, Madico produces innovative window films and specialty solutions for automotive, architectural, and safety applications among others. Advanced R&D and the commitment to customer-centric, ethical practices have earned Madico industry recognition and numerous awards.

The Challenge

Madico came to Motion Tactic because they felt outdated compared to the competition in the window film solution. They wanted a modernized look with improved site UX design so site visitors could find relevant information. The current site also had a large volume of pages due to poor sitemap organization and we needed to consolidate the content architecture framework.

The Solution

To update the website and give Madico a rebranded look, we created a stunning, modern design while also completely overhauling the content architecture. We created a scalable design system that organized the large volume of content targeting a variety of industries. We wanted to make it simple for site visitors to find what they needed and convert rather than bounce.

Research & Strategy

In order to create a solution that worked for Madico, we completed a discovery portion prior to engaging in the web design. This gave us a chance to create a roadmap that aligned with their content strategy goals and current workflows while really understanding their business objectives.

We then created detailed wireframes and workflows which allowed us to simplify UX and streamline the buying process so visitors can self-educate and lead toward conversion.

UI/UX Design

Madico needed organization for its product offerings and solutions. We created a simple, yet robust mega menu system with consolidated categories and subcategories for clear organization. We designed the website with repeatable patterns, making it easy for Madico to scale the website independently when the company needed additional web pages for new products.

Web Design

To help revamp Madico’s online image, we designed a website with a distinct look and feel. We utilized a high contrast theme of light and dark sections to create a bold design. The design also incorporated trends such as glass effects on interactive elements, overlays, brand accents, and color gradients.

We simplified the color palette, adding yellow as a bolder, web friendly accent color. We maintained the current brand blue, but used it minimally to keep the brand standards in tact. Bringing in angular interface elements, we gave the site an edgier look, perfect for a vendor that services the automotive industry.

Ecommerce

To make sure we approached the ecommerce portion of the website holistically, we created wireframes and designs while collaborating with the Madico team to prioritize clear UX principles and ensure site visitors don’t get lost.

We created various states for logged in users and maintained updated design principles across product purchasing pages to keep users engaged and clicking.
